Lucian Fetila - Violin & Viola
In many situations, Lucian believes it is better for teachers to adapt to students needs, rather than vice versa.
The aforementioned philosophy is partly "borrowed" from the maestros he studied with at the National Music University of Bucharest, Romania, and partly personal or "discovered" after 25+ years of teaching.
Although Lucian has Violin and Vocal/Choral Music Teaching Degrees, he doesn't consider himself a teacher until his students performances reflect his dedication to teaching. Mixing fun with seriousness and freely accepted discipline during the lessons, Lucian asks for thoughtful practice at home and encourages his pupils to play on stage or participate in the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations. These represent only some of the approaches Lucian uses to help his students achieve good results and, consequently, for them to prove he is a good teacher.
Lucian also was a choir conductor (with several awards, plenty of live, radio, TV performances) and a choir conducting professor at the same university he graduated from, with some of his students winning diverse musical competitions.
Lucian has been a violin and viola teacher with The Music Studio for five years and hopes there are many more years to come.
