Musical Beginnings Camps

Introduce Your Child to Music

Our Musical Beginnings Camp is an ideal intro to music camp for young children. This fun and interactive program introduces beginners to the world of music in a safe and positive environment. Children will learn basic performance skills as they sing, dance, and learn rhythms by ear. The camp focuses on music appreciation, allowing students to explore instruments such as keyboards and xylophones. In addition to individual and group performances, activities include learning music theory, engaging in musical games, and participating in a talent show. No previous musical experience is required, making this the perfect pre-school music camp.

Kidzrock Camps

You’re Never Too Young to Rock’n’Roll

The Kidzrock Camp is a fantastic introduction to rock music for young children. Students will learn the basics of guitar, drums, and keyboards, how to read and play notes, improvisation, and singing on pitch. The camp also covers musical dynamics and terminology. Alongside musical instruction, the camp includes arts and crafts and physical activities, culminating in a final day performance. This is the perfect rock band camp for young rockstars!

Music Theatre Camps

Singing, Acting & Stage Movement/Dance

Instruction in singing, acting and stage movement/dance. Camp A: The Sound of Music*. Camp B: Selection of scenes from Matilda, Cats, The Wizard of Oz, Pippin and Hairspray. Camp C: Beauty and The Beast*. Final day performance. *Shows subject to change to best suit participants. In each of Camps A and B, students stage an approximately 50 minute production of one musical.

Q: What age groups are eligible for your music summer camps in Toronto?

  • Our kidz camp Toronto programs are designed for children and teens of various ages. We offer specialized “Creative Music” camps for younger children (ages 4–8) and more intensive programs like Rock Band and Broadway camps for kids and teens ages 9–18. Each group is tailored to the developmental stage of the participants.

Q: Does my child need prior musical experience to join a music camp?

  • Not at all! Our music summer camps are designed to be inclusive. While our Rock Band and Instrumental camps are great for students who already play, our Broadway and Creative Music camps are perfect for beginners. Our instructors adjust the curriculum so every child feels successful, regardless of their starting skill level.

Q: Where is your music camp located?

  • The Music Studio is conveniently located in Etobicoke, making it a highly accessible music camp Toronto parents trust. We serve families across the GTA, including Etobicoke, Mississauga, and West Toronto.

Q: What should my child bring to a summer music camp session?

  • For most of our music summer camps, students should bring a nut-free lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. For our Rock Band and Guitar camps, we encourage students to bring their own instruments if they have them, though we can provide instruments upon request.
