Dominic Ghiglione is a trombonist & educator currently based in Toronto, ON. Dominic has performed with various ensembles and orchestras of all genres including the Hamilton Philharmonic, Esprit Orchestra, Hannaford Silver Band & Regina Symphony Orchestra, amongst many others. In addition, he has had the privilege of attending many prestigious international summer music programs including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, Domaine Forget Music Academy and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival masterclass series in Lübeck, Germany.

Outside of performing, Dominic conducts the Bloor-Annex Brass Ensemble, consisting of students from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music and the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School dedicated to performing and commissioning new works for brass ensemble. As a music educator, Dominic has experience teaching as a band teacher in the Regina Catholic School Division while also having given instrument “head-start” clinics and band recruitment across Saskatchewan. He has also been teaching private lessons since 2018.

Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, Dominic most recently graduated with his Master’s in Music Performance degree from the University of Toronto in 2023, studying with Gordon Wolfe and previously completed a Joint Bachelor’s of Music & Music Education degree in 2021 at the University of Regina studying trombone with Dr. David Dick.

Outside of the trombone, Dominic is passionate about the search for the best food, travelling across Canada and attending live music & sport events in Toronto!
