Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Colin has found great fulfilment performing in opera, musical theatre, concert, and choral settings. In May 2022 Colin received a Masters in Opera & Voice Performance from McGill University and has since been pursuing an Artist Diploma in Performance from the Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory with the generous support of a full-tuition Temerty Foundation Scholarship. Colin is also fortunate to maintain an active conducting schedule and previously made his Toronto conducting debut with the St. Michael’s Boy Choir at their Massey Hall Christmas concert. 

Recent credits include Belcore in L’elisir d’amore (Highlands Opera Studio), Minskman in Jonathan Dove’s Flight, Adonis in Venus and Adonis (Glenn Gould School), Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus (Toronto Operetta Theatre), Bob in Old Maid and the Thief, Zoroastro in Orlando, and Le Director in Les mamelles de Tirésias (Opera McGill).

When not performing Colin maintains an active teaching schedule and is passionate about music education and community music making. Colin’s teaching has been described as encouraging, positive and rewarding. He strives to get to know his students in order to establish a supportive, wholesome environment. Teaching is a great privilege and responsibility for which Colin is very thankful.
