Shelby Lynn - Music Therapy Program: Connecting Through Music

A distinctive songwriter, performer and teacher, Shelby is an honours graduate of Humber College’s music program. Majoring in vocal studies, she received further training in jazz piano and folk guitar. She has released two original albums under the name Shelby Lamb receiving critical acclaim and continuous play on CBC, campus and community radio nationwide.

With 15 years experience, Shelby has taught voice, piano, guitar and percussion to students ranging in age and ability. She taught music at Kohai Educational Centre for 5 years, a school for children and adults with a wide variety of learning difficulties. She has worked closely with students with special needs, managing learning and communication problems as she teaches music incorporating the use of sign language and gestures.
