Ed Lettner: Owner – Drums, Percussion, Piano

Ed brings over 35 years of musical training and performance experience, and 25 years of teaching experience to The Music Studio. He is an Honours graduate of the music program at the Humber College Institute of Technology, majoring in percussion, and has advanced piano training in classical and jazz music. Ed’s performance and recording experience includes appearances with jazz, rock and concert bands; orchestras and musical theatre groups; and performances at events such as the Canadian National Exhibition and the Royal Winter Fair.

Ed established The Music Studio in 1990 as a centre for teaching excellence where beginning to advanced students of all ages may reach their full potential in a variety of musical styles. Many of his students have received Honours results at Royal Conservatory of Music examinations and Ed has successfully prepared students to enter the music programs of the Etobicoke School of the Arts and universities. He has conducted clinics in the public school system and taught private lessons at Havergal College. Ed enjoys writing a regular editorial on musical topics for the SNAP Etobicoke newspaper. He believes that music can be a rewarding part of anyone’s life.
