Buckets of Fun

The Music Studio took its Bucket Drumming Program on the road to Gracedale Public School on February 15. Ed Lettner presented four workshops to grades four and five students who were playing songs on their buckets in no time while having Buckets of Fun.

Two Cellos Are Better Than One

Two cello students from The Music Studio performed Cello Duets #'s 1 & 12 by W. A. Mozart for the Beaver Bible Class on February 26 at Westway United Church. Their beautiful performance was warmly received by all. This performance was part of a monthly concert series presented by the Beaver class and The Music Studio.


Sharing Christmas Cheer

Residents and staff at the Kingsway Retirement Residence thoroughly enjoyed listening to and singing along with Christmas classics and festive favourites performed by students from The Music Studio on December 16, 2011.

Community Christmas Celebration

On December 10, 2011, vocal and instrumental students from The Music Studio performed at the Creative Village Studio in Etobicoke. This free event was enjoyed by one and all.

The Music Studio Supports the Etobicoke Humane Society

On September 17, 2011, students from The Music Studio entertained at the Etobicoke Humane Society's Dog Walk-a-Thon in West Deanne Park This event raised money and awareness for the work done by EHS.

Violin Students Perform at Long & McQuade

Violin students from The Music Studio performed as part of an evening of student performances at the Long & McQuade Clinic Hall on August 17.


The Music Studio Presents Music at Lunchtime

On July 12, 2011, students from The Music Studio entertained the lunchtime guests at Storefront Humber in Etobicoke. Piano and vocal students performed classical and musical theatre repertoire to the delight of those in attendance.

The Music Studio Entertains at Griggs Manor

Piano and violin students from The Music Studio provided lunchtime entertainment for an appreciative audience at Griggs Manor on August 8, 2011.


The Music Studio Entertains at Humbertown Plaza

Students from The Music Studio were out in the community on June 24, 2011 performing at the Humbertown Plaza Sidewalk Sale. This annual event featured performances by piano and vocal students that were well received by family, friends and shoppers alike.

The Music Studio Presents: A Showcase of Talent

The Islington United Church was the venue for The Music Studio's annual performance opportunity for some of our more advanced students on June 25, 2011. This free event allows these students to showcase various aspects of their musical personalities by giving longer performances in the beautiful setting of The Sanctuary at the church.


Children's Class Demonstration for LAMP

On June 7, 2011, The Music Studio offered a free toddler music class demonstration as part of the LAMP Community Health Centre Birthday Celebration. The children and their parents were delighted to experience the musical games and skills that make up The Music Studio's Music in Motion children's program for toddlers.

Ensemble Night at The Fox & Fiddle

It was standing room only as six ensembles from The Music Studio took to the stage at The Fox & Fiddle in the Islington Village Plaza on June 18, 2011. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed performances by the rock and jazz ensembles that featured students from The Music Studio's ensemble program. These students meet weekly under the direction of one of the teachers at The Music Studio to apply the skills they learn in their lessons in a band situation.


The Music Studio Presents: Vocal Night at The Liberty Bistro

Vocal students from The Music Studio entertained at The Liberty Bistro on March 31, 2011. Diners thoroughly enjoyed the many fine performances of popular jazz, musical theatre and opera repertoire.

The Music Studio's Recital - Music in Springtime

The Music Studio presented its annual student recital on June 5, 2011 at The Assembly Hall in Etobicoke. This free event was a tremendous success with over nine hours of solo, duet and group performances that entertained the hundreds of people in attendance. The performances by students of all ages featured classical, opera, musical theatre, jazz and rock musical styles.


Buckets of Food at Buckets of Fun

A big Thank You to the 80+ attendees and 60 bucket drummers who made the Buckets of Fun for Everyone charity benefit a great success. Hundreds of dollars and several buckets of cat and dog food, treats and toys were collected by the Etobicoke Humane Society. Everyone left having had a lot of fun and knowing that they supported a great cause.
